The Band of Marines follows a strict, yet overly simple Code of Conduct that all Marines in the Clan must always abide by, regardless of their rank or status. The attainment of prestige does not mean one is allowed to blatantly disregard our stated code of conduct. All Marines live by this code, as they are also known as core values. We value these to the highest degree and conduct ourselves in remembrance of these very rules which govern our conduct and judgment.Please read over the following Band of Marines code of conduct rules:Respect.Marines respect each other and the country and citizens they defend. The Band of Marines is an organization of gamers based on mutual respect. Disagreements may arise, however in the end we are a Brotherhood and it is expected all Marines will find common ground and put disagreements behind them as quickly as possible. Professionalism. Marines are consummate professionals. All Members of Band of Marines must maintain a professional, decent and respectful demeanor; commensurate with the conduct expected of active-duty Marines. Demeaning individuals or groups in any way is counter to the professionalism expected of Marines and the beliefs of Band of Marines. Excellence. Marines strive for excellence in all they do. Their excellence is based on hard work, dedication and natural ability. The Band of Marines participates in a number of different online games and simulations; our pursuit of excellence has no place for those who unnaturally enhance their ability by cheating or glitching. Leadership. Marines are Leaders and Leadership is based on service. All Members of the Band of Marines will be strong leaders and strive to maintain, promote and display the highest standards of personal conduct.Maturity.Marines are professionals, thus they are generally the most mature individuals that walk this earth. They uphold themselves to a higher standard than anyone in any other military service. Maturity is the ability to think appropriately and to act ones own age. It comes gradually as one grows and progresses through life. All members of the Band of Marines are expected to be mature and to maintain this demeanor at all times. Brotherhood.Marines are committed. With this commitment comes a strong sense of brotherhood and attachment to the Marines and servicemembers they serve with. The Band of Marines emulates this brotherhood and commitment and promotes it to the highest degree. All members are generally expected to grow an attachment with eachother. To unconditionally trust the man or woman next to them to protect them and do their job efficiently. This brotherhood developed with eachother is stressed to the highest degree and no one will be able to destroy it once it has been molded. Honesty. Honesty is the cornerstone of an honorable person and every Marine is expected to be honest. As such, every member of the Band of Marines is expected to be honest when they speak of any situation involving themselves or other people. The dishonest person is the one who cannot be trusted and who would break their bond with their fellow Marines, servicemembers, and clan members just for their own personal gain and recognition. Honesty is always rewarded generously in the Marine Corps and in this clan. Be sure to be honest in everything you speak of. Honor.The bedrock of the Marine Corps’ character. The quality that guides Marines to exemplify the ultimate in ethical and moral behavior; never to lie, cheat, or steal; to abide by an uncompromising code of integrity; to respect human dignity; to have respect and concern for each other. The quality of maturity, dedication, trust, and dependability that commits us to act responsibly; to be accountable for our actions.Courage.The heart of our core values, courage is the mental, moral, and physical strength ingrained in Marines and Sailors to carry them through the challenges of combat and the mastery of fear; to do what is right; to adhere to a higher standard of personal conduct; to lead by example, and to make tough decisions under stress and pressure. It is the inner strength that enables a us to take that extra step.Commitment.The spirit of determination and dedication within members of a force of arms that leads to professional mastery of the art of war. It leads to the highest order of discipline for unit and self; it is the ingredient that enables 24-hour-a-day dedication to Corps and Country; pride; concern for others; and an unrelenting determination to achieve a standard of excellence in every endeavor. Commitment is the value that establishes the Marine as the warrior and citizen others strive to emulate.Fair Play. Fair play is the bedrock of being a honorable and sportsmanlike gamer. Marines play fairly whenever they are allowed to play a game in any shape or form and we promote fair play to the highest degree. Those who play unfairly or modify their abilities by the use of cheats and glitches are frowned upon and will never truly know the satisfying feeling of acheiving genuine success. Fair play establishes you as a player that conducts himself above the rest of the average gamers. It is something to be upheld proudly and promoted throughout the entire gaming community. Remember to always play fairly and to play your best, for the rewards are endless when you play the way the game should be played.
