All right Marines, you heard what the General said! If you have not gone through SOI, then post in this thread so he knows who is coming to the DOT. In your post specify your name rank and MOS. This is for your own good Marines, you know what they say, "Knowledge is power!"

Listen up Marines! Two of our most active members have no Xbox. Colón and Travis, two of our active members got the red rings this week, and we need all the members we can get! Because of this, us remaining Marines need to step it up a few notches! We need to pick up the work they won't be able to do until they return.

For the last time, when posting on the site, please use proper grammar in your posts. When new members come to the site, we want them to see how professional we are. We do not want them to think that we are lazy wanabees who do not deserve to be in the clan. Marines strive in everything they do, and so will we! Oorah!

Some of you may not know of it because you hail from somewhere other than the United States or may have been too young to even recall or (or just simply didn't watch it) but did any of you ever watch the TV series Teen Titans when it aired on Cartoon Network from 2003 - 2006? I was and still am a die hard fan of that series and recently I've been missing it more and more. It was an amazing series that had good animation, focused on character development, and overall had a good story to it. Just wondering if there are any other fans of the series here.

All Marines will report to this session and those who are unable shall let me know in advance so that we may coordinate a separate date on which I shall brief those who missed the original session.
Trust me Marines, this one is gonna be one helluva ride.... Semper Fi! Do or Die, Marines! Captain Luke A. Pinkney 105th Marine Battalion 27th Marine Expeditionary Unit.

I'm going to be holding "awareness runs" soon. These will be private matches hosted by myself on CoD4 in which I will showcase tactical positions and how to get to them, many of which you may not have ever seen and require both the knowledge of their position and also the knowledge of the path to them. Some of these are very powerful and some are very stealthy, possibly adding to your advantage. None of the spots I will show you how to get to are glitches, but I will also point out spots that one could get to by glitching, for the purpose of you knowing where an enemy can be. If you are interested in this please send me a message either on this site or over Xbox LIVE to HLG Marathon, or simply post in this thread with your Gamertag, rank, and MOS.
Once we have our number of "students" figured out, I will create a time and date for the runs, which anyone who plans to be attending would then enter my match. If you are a relatively higher-ranking member, feel free to attend simply to oversee and make sure that I do not mistake a glitch for something that is appropriate for online use. All of the aforementioned has been deemed okay by General Cartwright. Thanks, Recruit M. Travis

ALPHA COMPANY TOTAL: 7 MEMBER(S) ALPHA COMPANY STAFF: 1 MEMBER(S) Capt L. Pinkney SCOUT SNIPER PLATOON: 2 MEMBER(S) MGySgt C. Novatt Cpl A. Knappenberger FIRST PLATOON: 4 MEMBER(S) Cpl J. Tomala LCpl J. MacGlashing PFC D. Olivi Pvt M. Shifar 1ST TRAINING BN: 1 MEMBER(S) Recruit M. Travis Though I am pleased activity is rising in the site, I am displeased with the low number of members that seem to be visiting frequently. I know why Colon has not and he has a valid excuse. I also know why Lane has. But everyone else (this includes recruits) should have accounts on the site and be visiting it regularly. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be happening. Encourage and motivate your fellow Marines to participate and post regularly on our site - or sign up even. Thank you and the next roll call shall occur in two weeks. I want to see numbers rise by then, Marines! Semper Fi, General M. Cartwright 105th Marines CO

Attention Marines, As you have probably noticed, the number of new recruits has drastically lowered. Because of this I would like to call for a recruitment drive. Many of you Privates and PFCs may not know about the recruitment ribbons you get when you refer a possible new recruit to one of the clan recruiters. Also, you get ten points toward your next promotion if the person you recruit gets referred to a recruiter then to a DI then finishes boot. Now to my point, clan moral is not as high as its been, and I think we can fix that if we get some new blood and we get our members more involved in the recruitment process. So Marines, look on your friends list and send out messages asking if any of them would like to join the Band Of Marines, and if your playing online and you see someone who shows hints of what it takes to become a Marine send them that message! Now OORAH and Good Recruiting!

Hello, I've been doing some thinking and i have come up with an idea. Such an idea it will need its theme song. An idea called. ADVERTISEMENT. I think that we can make a video and post it on youtube trying to get users to see it and want to join. I personally dont have any aquiptment to make a state of an are video, though i think that this video will introduce people to other people that are intrested in the USMC. this video can include the following
Members, guns, tactics, games, leaders, and most of all. Our clans goal and purpose. To show people about the Real United states Marines. PFC M. Shifar 105th maring battalion

I've been delaying getting this game for a while but now that I have unlimited Internet access at University, the timing seems right to maybe join. So, who has an account on this game AND still plays it regularly. I know that General Cartwright has an account but do you use it? Answers may influence my decision.

Marines, I am here to inform you that in June, our very own Sergeant Major Jeremy Casper shall be shipping out to Marine Corps Recruit Training at MCRD San Diego. There he will spend thirteen of the most rough and grueling weeks of his life as he attempts to achieve the title of United States Marine. In knowing this, I have created this thread so that you - the clan - could show your support and wish our battalion sergeant major good luck and give him your blessings.
I, General Cartwright, will be the first to say: good luck, man. Make me proud to call you a Marine in my clan. Show those DIs that we actually taught you something to study your butt off before boot camp using the information provided on this website. It'll all make your life that much easier as you make your famed journey towards the life of a Marine. Semper Fi, Sergeant Major Casper! Do or Die, Marine!

About Sharpshooters, are we going to use the Marine Corps DMR? It's basically a slightly modified M14. Maybe we could have those who want to be marksman, but don't feel up to the task of being a sniper as Marksmen with DMRs. It would broaden our weapon usage in CoD4 and would increase our versatility in combat.
If we have marksmen instead of snipers, it would be easier; whilst supporting from a medium to long distance, they can also defend themselves much easier than a sniper who has to rely on his pistol for medium to close range. I suggest a M14 with ACOG scope to better simulate the DMR scopes. But what about camo? Could we allow them no camo or maybe green camo; I've seen pictures of Marine marksmen using green DMRs in the desert... maybe a woodland camo would make it look like a DMR. Any thoughts?

Here are some interesting facts about the United States Marine Corps and it's structure:
1. The UCMJ 934, Article 134 (The General Article) basically states that you can get caught out for any discretion, as the prosecutor can put anything uder that article. 2. The lowest MOS is 0100 - Basic Administrative Marine. 3. The highest is 9999 - Sergeant Major/First Sergeant of the Marine Corps. 4. The Marine corps has served in every single armed conflict that the US has taken part in since its founding in 1775. 5. The USMC is the smallest military branch of the US (the USCG is smaller, but comes under Homeland Security), but is still bigger than the majority of forces from other major powers; for example it is larger than both the entire active Isreali Defense Force and the British Army and all its different branches. 6. Originally the Marines were created to defend ship's commanders from Mutiny. 7. Its original mission of providing shipboard security finally ended in the 1990s, when the last Marine security detachments were withdrawn from U.S. Navy ships. 8. The first amphibious landing partaken by the Continental Marines was during the Revolutionary War, when the Marines gained control of a British ammunition depot and naval port in New Providence, Bahamas. 9. At Wake Island, when all of the Marine aircraft were shot down, pilots continued the fight as ground officers, leading supply clerks and cooks in a final defensive effort. 10. Though Marines and American media reported that Germans had nicknamed them "Teufel Hunden" as meaning "Devil Dogs," there is no evidence of this in German records (as "Teufelshunde" would be the proper German phrase), it was possibly American propaganda. Nevertheless, the name stuck.
